The accommodations, parts of which date back to the 19th century are 4 self catering baby/children/family/over 50's friendly fully licensed apartment cottages, 1200 feet above sea level in the Central Algarve (just 15 minutes from Faro airport), all with sea views & equipped, furnished & decorated to very high standards. The site is open all year round so that guests can enjoy the 3000 hours of sunshine the Algarve has to offer. We understand that with low cost airlines it may be better to travel on days other than Sunday or Thursday, so we are flexible with our arrival & departure days. The accommodations can only be let individually ensuring a relaxing break. There is a large pool, heated during the winter months, freestanding hot tub spa Jacuzzi, children’s play area & games area. |

Located two minutes north of the market town of Loule surrounded by beautiful countryside, a real plus for those who enjoy walking and bird watching, yet close to all local amenities, golf courses, beaches, water parks etc. Quintassential is just 15 minutes drive from the coast where you can experience all that the Algarve has to offer in the way of beaches and watersports, but there are also some excellent excursions to be made inland. An ideal base to explore and sample a little of the real Algarve. |

The Orange Cottage is the largest of the accommodations, a large 2 bedroom rustic cottage decorated in typical Algarvian décor of white washed walls & with a fully fitted modern kitchen including an electric oven, vitro ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, filter coffee machine, hand held electric blender & toaster. The lounge/diner is tastefully decorated and has a comfy leather three piece suite, 36 inch widescreen TV, Satellite TV (free to view channels), DVD (small selection of DVD’s available) video player (small selection of videos available) & radio/CD player (guests to bring own CDs), a selection of books, puzzles, chess set, playing cards, ceiling fan & the Orange Cottage boasts an original 19th century fireplace that now houses the wood-burning stove. The accommodations and grounds are blessed with panoramic sea views and spectacular countryside views; just what you need for a tranquil & relaxing holiday. The gardens are simply marvellous, with many bushes, plants & fruit trees, along with quiet areas to relax & absorb the views. There is a swimming pool (shared with the other cottages on site), measuring 10 x 5 m with sun loungers, parasols, garden furniture etc. Also on the pool terrace a hot tub spa Jacuzzi for guest use. The pool is heated during the cooler months from 1st October until 30th April & there is no additional charge for heating the pool. There is also a children’s play area with swings, slide, and see-saw all alongside an orange grove. For those who have a little more energy, there is an outdoor games area with a professional sizes table tennis table along with table football and an exercise bike.

SPECIAL OFFER - ALL INCLUSIVE WINTER SPECIAL - One weeks accommodation for up to 4 people, 4 eco wall heaters (24/7) heating, one basket of logs for the wood burning stove, welcome hamper, pool heating & a group B hire car for £495.00 GBP per week. Valid from 1st November 2011 until 31st March 2012. There are three one bedroom cottages & a large two bedroom cottage.The accommodations occupy an acre of hilltop, totally fenced & accessed via electric gates in breathtaking Algarvian countryside, overlooking the market town of Loulé. There are spectacular panoramic sea views from Faro to Portimao. We do everything possible to ensure that families with children have a holiday that is both fun and relaxing. With children of our own we know how important it is to keep kids happy & entertained on holiday, within a safe & secure environment. There is a lot of space for children to play and to discover nature. The cottages are all separated from the pool area, the pool area is enclosed & gated. A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking and the balance is payable six weeks prior to arrival along with a £300.00 GBP returnable damages deposit. Payments can be made by bank transfer into a UK bank account, credit card using Paypal. Payments can also be made in Euros by bank transfer into a Portuguese Euro account.

Absolutely perfect! We were immediately made to feel at home. Its all it professes to be on the website and much, much more! The cottage was a real home from home with Rosa's extra touches to make the place extra special. Rosa & Mick are excellent hosts and go that extra mile to be helpful and accommodating. Lets also not forget Alfie the dog who made great friends with even my husband who is terrified of dogs! Its a place where you can make friends with the other guests or keep yourself to yourself. We have already booked our visit for next year which will be our third time at Quintassential. Our hosts are a font of knowledge of the local area and local customs. Can't wait to return!

Quintassential is an absolutely wonderful place to spend a holiday, whether it be winter spring summer or autumn. Mick and Rosa with the addition of Sophie their beautiful daughter and Alfie the charismatic dog have made all the cottages a joy to stay in. The view from the cottages is simply outstanding, you can see all the way from Faro to Albufeira, the gardens are delightful, kept in good order by Mick and helped sometimes by Rosa's father, Joe. It is so nice to have a pool that is kept immaculate by Mick and also the Hot Tub. The cottages are clean and comfortable with satellite TV, Video and CD, books to help you while away the time, and lots of games. There is also now the addition of a children's play area which is essential for holiday makers with small children. All in all the best place in the Algarve for a holiday.

A chef needs a recipe, good ingredients and some flair and imagination. Take Orange Cottage and mix with good company/friends and good hosts, next add a lovely garden and pool area. Add two good hosts and their apprentice baby daughter, some good weather, some bad weather, but use imagination and a positive attitude and make the best of your holiday. You won’t regret it ever.

Our 3rd return visit to this lovely part of the Algarve and once again a big thank you for making us so welcome. We are so glad to have found this beautiful place. Austin now 2 and a half has loved playing with Alfie and its nice that he now knows his way around the gardens, you’ve made a super job of the children’s play area and the swing chair is just perfect for that quiet 10 minutes.
